民泊 How to verify registration number AirBnB Japan

I have yet to start a blog elsewhere so i'm writing this here on my old blog.
How to verify registration number AirBnB Japan
After finding the listing you want to check...
1.
Go to minpaku Portal site (run by Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Land Infrastructure Transport)
http://www.mlit.go.jp/kankocho/minpaku/municipality.html#tokyo
Find the district/prefecture of the listing and go to the district's website.
2.
click on a URL that has keywords 住宅宿泊事業 or 届出 (differs from each website)
It should link you to a PDF/ excel sheet with registered numbers and addresses.
3.
Check if the registered number corresponds with the address written in the Airbnb listing & vice versa
Even for a Japanese naitive, it was not the easiest to figure out how to check the verification numbers on Airbnb listings... Hope the process gets easier in the future...
(will update accordingly when I understand more of this Minpaku mess)
